Distal Approaches in Patellofemoral Pain: A Systematic Review, Part I

Purpose: Increased patellofemoral joint reaction force is the main cause of pain syndrome. Foot pronation causes faulty coupling lower limb and increases force; accordingly, this study aims to systematically review effect distal interventions on clinical symptoms kinematics patients with pain. Methods: The search strategy was applied Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, Medline, Web Science, Scopus databases. limited English language. studies were from 2000 2022. In 4 stages, selected articles screened for systematic review. quality evaluated by Downs Black scale. Meanwhile, classified into 3 categories as follows: High, medium, low quality. Results: A total 12 medium. 5 had medium 7 high results showed that are effective in improving correcting limb. Conclusion: Distal reduce As a result, combination proximal exercise have better symptoms.
